Wellness Programs for Mississauga’s Pets
A vaccination and wellness program is one of the best things you can do for your pets to keep them healthy. As pets age faster than humans do, you can notice significant changes in your pet’s health in a short period of time. At Malton Veterinary Services, we offer vaccination and wellness programs in Mississauga and surrounding areas. We offer a wide range of therapeutic and specialty diets for pets of all life stages and disease conditions.
Our veterinarians and technicians work with you to create a preventive health care plan. Prevention is always the best choice when compared to the cost involved in treating the disease once your pet has developed it. Early diagnosis helps to modify your cat or dog’s diet and add supplements to their diet to prolong their lives. Our various wellness programs include:
Puppy Wellness
This program is designed to offer new puppies all the benefits of veterinary care available to them from 6 to 16 weeks of age. Puppy wellness program includes a series of examinations and vaccinations for distemper, rabies, parvovirus, etc. In addition to this, your puppy will also be tested for worms.
Kitten Wellness
This program is designed to offer veterinary care for new kittens from 6 to 12 weeks of age. Kitten wellness program includes a series of examinations and vaccinations for rabies, leukaemia, panleukopenia (distemper), etc. Your kitten will also be tested for most common intestinal worms – roundworms.
Adult Pet Wellness
Adult pet wellness program includes diagnostic and wellness services for your adult pets. The program includes urine testing, fecal testing, and blood testing. The results from these tests help us to address medical issues in the early stages.
Senior Pet Wellness
Once your dog and cat turns 7 and 6 years of age respectively, we recommend that they undergo a senior wellness exam and diagnostic workup at Malton Veterinary Services. Even though your pet may seem normal, there are various diseases that show outward signs only after the disease is quiet advanced.
Early detection of medical issues such as thyroid disease, kidney disease, etc. will allow us to administer the appropriate treatments to improve your pet’s life. Many old age symptoms that are considered untreatable are now curable. There are appropriate therapies to treat dogs that have lost mental alertness to return to the mental status of younger aged dogs.
